1984. Canvas, oil
L. I. Reznik has energy-wise elevated the work
We see our cosmic Mother – the Progenitrix of all that esists now. It is the feminine principle which corresponds to the principle of God the Father – Parabrahman. She appears before us creating the Soul – the physical man’s prototype – from fire and light. The Lotus – a womb which grows from a crown (a symbol of the crown of creation) is unfolding, and the light-bearing Soul – the Source of our Life – goes out of it. The Mother has a necklace and ornaments in the form of skulls which symbolize the beginning and the end, the birth and the destruction of forms at the end of our time cycle and the period of our existence. The mysterious Sirius – a cosmic system of the victorious Good and an oasis of love, will and wisdom in the Cosmic Logos – is hovering over her head. In the lower part of the composition, on the surface of a table-crystal, we see the founders of the great religions: the Buddha and the Christ and a great Hindu initiate Shri Krishna. An all-embracing idea – that of the Creating Primary Source – fuses all parts of the painting. Hence the thought that there is one Father for all of us.
